Sega Japan’s 2011 crossover sports and party game Mario & Sonic in the London 2012 Olympic Games. Nintendo published it in Japan and Korea, and Sega published it abroad. It was published for the Wii on November 15, 2011 in North America, November 18, 2011 in Europe, and December 26, 2011 in Japan as the third installment in the Mario & Sonic series. In February 2012, it was also published on the Nintendo 3DS. The International Olympic Committee licensed Mario & Sonic as the official video game of the 2012 Summer Olympics through exclusive licensee International Sports Multimedia. The game is the only one on the Wii that comes in a yellow keep case rather than the regular white case.
