The story of God of War: Ragnarok includes more than its fair share of unexpected turns. When we discover that Tyr is a fabrication and that Odin is, in fact, acting as if he were someone else, this is one of the most important moments in the game. When you have finished playing the game, you will be able to continue your search for the real Tyr, who has been held captive by Odin.
Tyr will show up in a variety of different places across the nine realms once he is freed from his imprisonment. You just need to find him and have a conversation with him to get more information about him. In God of War: Ragnarok, the following information will provide you with all of the details you require regarding the location of the actual Tyr.
###Where To Find The Real Tyr
Find your way to Niflheim and head in the direction of the Raven Tree when you get there. You will notice a path open up on your left that has debris from Asgardian civilization. If you continue down this path, you’ll end up in Favor The Broken Prison, which is directly in front of you.
As soon as you enter the prison, you will need to fight your way down the levels while avoiding the Einherjar. After moving to the left, look towards the middle of the area to find a spot where you can throw your Draupnir Spear. Because of this, you will be able to go down one level. There are a few foes in this area; once you take care of them, you can deal with the chain that controls the elevator’s ascent and descent. You will need to drop it once in order to make use of the spear to skip down one level.
Take care of the additional foes that have spawned here, and then head east to locate the wooden ledge that you can climb. You will be attacked by a Light Elf that falls from the sky. Once you have it vanquished, turn around and use your Blades of Chaos on the wall nearby. Repeatedly interacting with the chain will cause it to drop one more level. Continue down along the path you took to get here.
You will also find another location for the Spear, which you can use to search for the Flower that is required to finish a Favor. Once you have the Flower, use the second Spear slot to cross to the opposite side of the lower floor, where the foe is waiting for you, and then deal with them.
There will be a door to a cell that you can open, and Tyr will be waiting for you on the other side. After you have finished talking to him, you are free to leave this area. Having said that, you will not be confronted by Tyr for the final time.
###Tyr Appearances In The Nine Realms
After his release from the Asgardian Prison, Tyr has made his way to this location in the Nine Realms, where he can be found relaxing.
#Alfheim: Once you have arrived in Alfheim, make your way to the Strond Mystic Gateway and then head in the direction of the Temple of Light. You will come across Tyr gazing up at the sky while you are travelling to your destination.
In the realm of Midgard, you can find Tyr observing his temple to the north of the Lake of Nine and close to where the Raider Hideout is located.
You can find Tyr in Freyr’s Camp in Vanaheim moving his arms from side to side as he does so. #Vanaheim I suppose even the Gods of War need to practise yoga in order to keep their bodies in shape.
#Helheim: Once you have arrived in Helheim, make your way to Hel’s Perch, where you will find Tyr speaking with Hraesvelgr.
#Muspelheim: Once you’ve arrived in the city, make your way to the Spark of the World, where you’ll find Tyr seated.
Svartalfheim is the final location in which you have a chance of finding Tyr. You can find Tyr if you travel to The Watchtower in the Bay of Bounty.
In order to accomplish this, you will need to finish the Favor called “The Weight of Chains,” which will unchain the Lyngbakr.
