God of War Ragnarök Guide – The Forge

###Bay Of Bounty
After having just left Nidavellire, we are going to begin our journey in the Bay of Bounty. You will be given a selection to choose from. You have two options: either go straight ahead and follow the primary story path that leads to Durlin’s Office, or turn to the right and head off on an adventure. In this section of the guide, we are going to walk you through the primary path. In any case, as soon as you set foot in the bay, you should not forget to pick up some of the Yggdrasil Dew that is located directly in front of you.

You will be able to get another drop of Yggdrasil Dew if you turn to the left after grabbing the Yggdrasil Dew that was just in front of you. Generous! Now, bring your boat ashore on the beach close by, and open the chest there to retrieve some forged iron. Following that, report to the safety office and have a conversation with Durlin. After you have finished talking to him, proceed through his office, and you will find yourself engaged in combat with a massive horde of Grims.

There are quite a few of them, and if you aren’t careful, it is very possible for them to sneak up on you unexpectedly. Taking the high ground is something you should strongly consider doing if you find that you are frequently getting overwhelmed. If you manage to get higher than the Grims, then they will have no choice but to climb higher in order to get you. You can use your axe and blades to make short work of them as they advance. If this is not the case, you should retreat if you find that you are being surrounded. If you move to a different part of the map, you’ll make it so that they have no choice but to chase after you. Keeping your mobility is of critical importance!

After you have eliminated all of the Grims in the area, you must destroy the green barrier that is on the hanging platform, then obtain the Hacksilver that is in the chest. After that, make a full revolution and open the red chest that is positioned in the back corner of the room to obtain some rawhide. Proceed through the entranceway now.

Following the path through the gate will bring you to a vast open area where there is a train that will take you to the peak of the mountain. Go get the red chest that is hidden behind the stack of barrels before you board the train. It is important that you have it. You will be able to see a chest on the other side of a gap (where a bridge has collapsed), but you won’t be able to get to it quite yet, so ignore it for the time being and move on. Board the next available train. You will discover that the other train is inoperable once you reach the peak of the mountain. In order to obtain another relic, you will need to move along to the side and destroy the structure that has green paint on it. You can find another one of those rune chests up here, but you won’t be able to open it just yet, so you should continue on. You will come across a low doorway here. This will result in you engaging in combat with a Dreki.

###Boss Battle: Dreki
The Dreki is a monstrously large species of lizard. Their primary attacks during the first phase of the battle are a lunging attack, a spit attack, a bite attack, and a tail whip. The lunging attack can basically hit from nearly anywhere on the battlefield. It is possible to successfully parry each and every one of these attacks. On the other hand, due to the fact that the tailwhip attack is performed at a startlingly rapid pace, you are going to need to pay a lot of attention to its timing. In a nutshell, as soon as you notice that it is starting to spin, you should quickly pull out your shield (and it is better to be early than late, with this attack).

When you have reduced the Dreki’s health to about a fifth of its total, it will begin to employ a number of powerful attacks based on electricity. The first assault is one that cannot be blocked and deals damage to everything in its vicinity. On the other hand, you will have a lot of advance warning for this one. Therefore, provided that you have not yet committed to a significant attack, you should have plenty of time to simply roll away from the situation. The following one is a little bit more difficult.

A line of electrically charged liquid will be spit at you by the Dreki. This is typically accomplished in three stages. Following the use of this attack by the Dreki, a portion of the ground will become impassable for a certain amount of time. If you put your foot in the electrified substance, you will receive electric shocks and suffer significant injuries. Unfortunately, the arena in which the boss is located is not very large, and as a result, it is simple to become trapped by this attack. Because of this, you should draw closer to the Dreki if you notice it getting some distance away from you. In this way, if it uses this attack against you, you will be able to strafe around them and avoid the problem.

A bite attack with a yellow border will also be utilised by the Dreki once it becomes available to them. You will need to defend yourself against it with a parry, as it will penetrate your defences. Even if you get the timing wrong and choose to block an attack instead of parrying it, you will still have enough time to roll out of the way of the attack that comes after it. If you can perfect those parries, the Dreki won’t be nearly as dangerous as they otherwise would be. Simply get in close to it, parry its bites and tail swipes, strafe around it when it uses its electric spit, and roll away when it uses its giant electric attack, which can’t be blocked. You might need one or two tries, but eventually you will be successful.

###The Forge
After you have finished off the Dreki, head through the small opening in the wall and turn to your right. There is a Lore Scroll lying on the floor, a Hacksilver chest tucked away in the corner, and some Lore Text written on the wall for you to peruse. In addition to that, there is a good number of Hacksilver pouches dispersed about. Due to the fact that the gate is impassable, you will need to return to the hole in the wall and, this time, take the path on the left. This will allow you to access the treasures that were previously hidden.

There is a chest in the opposite direction that is red. You will need to use your Blades of Chaos to both hold yourself over the edge of the ledge and cling to the faraway surface. Don’t worry too much about this, as the game will handle most of it for you. Now make your way toward the train tracks, eliminate the Wretches that you find there, and destroy their nest. After that, you will have arrived at the train. You will only need to cut off a portion of it, and then you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.

Once you have completed your eventful, albeit bumpy, ride, it is time to eliminate all of the Grims that are present in the area. This is comparable to the run-in you had with them close to Durlin’s house. The exact same strategies should be used here. This region is covered in a significant number of objects and bags containing Hacksilver, which can be found strewn about. Just take everything apart and put it back together again. You’ll find a Hacksilver chest right next to a chain; if you climb down the chain, you’ll come across ANOTHER Hacksilver chest. In addition to that, one of Odin’s ravens is currently flying around this area. Use your axe to chop it up and dispose of it.

Now we will return to the main trail. Atreus should be used to shoot the glowing green rock, and then you should use your Blades of Chaos to cross the gap. You will see piles of yellow stone if you come here. To get rid of the stone, set off the explosives. The other pile serves as the entrance to the mine, while the first hides a chest containing hacksilver (and a few wretches). You have arrived in the Jarminda Pitmines at this time!
