Elden Ring Guide – Seluvis Questline

After gaining access to the Three Sisters in the northwest of Liurnia, you will be granted access to three separate towers. However, in order to remove the magical barrier in front of Seluvis’s tower, you will need to go to Ranni’s Rise and start the Ranni the Witch Questline first.

If you follow these steps, you will be able to talk to Seluvis in his own tower. Seluvis has the ability to teach you sorcery, but he won’t do so until you finish a quest for him (and he won’t talk to you until you tell him the quest is finished). Once the quest is finished, he will teach you sorcery. Your completion of this task will connect Seluvis’s Questline with the Nepheli Loux Questline. He will ask you to take a potion and deliver it to Nepheli Loux.

You will need to convince Nepheli Loux to come back to the Roundtable Hold from where she is currently stationed close to the Village of the Albinaurics. It is important to keep in mind that if you speak to her in any other location besides this one, you will not be able to advance Seluvis’s questline by giving her the potion.

You can find Nepheli at the bottom of the stairs near Master Hewg. She will be extremely upset, to the point where she will not respond to you. Instead, you should head upstairs and have a conversation with Gideon if you want to advance with this quest. After that, you have the choice between handing it over to him (so that he can get rid of it) or giving it to Nepheli instead. If you choose for him to get rid of it, he will tell you to still tell Seluvis that you gave the potion to Nepheli even if you choose for him to get rid of it.

You should go back to Seluvis and let him know that you gave the potion to Nepheli. Regardless of whether you decide to hand it over to her or tell him a lie, he will make progress on his quest regardless of which option you pick. After you have finished talking to him here, you will be able to purchase sorceries from him.

Seluvis’s Hidden Chamber

There are several different quests for other NPCs that can be accessed through Seluvis’s Questline. His quest not only combines elements of the Nepheli Loux Questline and the Ranni the Witch Questline, but it also provides a connection to the Sorceress Sellen Questline.

Within the ruins close to Ranni’s Rise is a room that has been carefully concealed, and within that room is Seluvis’s terrible secret. Finding the actual ruins can be challenging; however, the location of the ruins can be found marked on the map that can be found below. To discover an illusory floor that leads down into a subterranean chamber, roll on the ground close to the invisible noble sorcerer that is located here.

You will find a number of people who seem to be frozen, and it is possible that they are dead, here. You’ll find a message written on the ground against the far wall, indicating that the people in this area are Selvius’s puppets. Another illusory wall can be found immediately to the left of this one. If you hit this one, you’ll be taken to a room that looks exactly like the one the Sorceress Sellen inhabited in the Waypoint Ruins. She appears to be motionless. You need to return to Seluvis and speak to him once more. Tell him that you have seen the chamber.

Because he believes you gave the potion to Nepheli, he will say that the two of you are working together and will offer you the choice between two unique summonable ashes: the Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet and the Jarwright Puppet. Dolores, the Sleeping Arrow Puppet, will become a selectable option if you have actually administered the potion to Nepheli. This will open up a third choice for you to make.

Seluvis’ Plot

No matter which path you choose, you will be able to acquire the remaining options by exchanging Starlight Shards for payment.

After you have purchased another sorcery from Seluvis, you will have the option to ask him about his plot in the dialogue menu that appears. He explains that he intends to turn Ranni into a puppet by using a demigod as a puppeteer, and that in the process, he will betray Ranni. Because he needs your assistance, he will ask you to find him some Amber Starlight, a potent item that can be combined with other ingredients to produce a concoction that can influence even the gods.

It is recommended that you travel to the Altus Plateau, which can be found to the northeast of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace. Find the narrow passage that leads under the larger plateau, and then continue along it until you reach the hidden shrine that contains the statue of a mother and her child. Amber Starlight, which can be given to Seluvis, can be found in this location. You need to go back to him and give him this essential item in order for him to be able to make his Amber Draught. At this stage, he will bestow upon you a Magic Scorpion Charm as a token of his appreciation. After that, he will ask you to be the one to hand Ranni the Amber Draught instead of him.

The Death of Seluvis

Ranni will vanish from her tower after you have given her the Fingerslayer Blade from Nokron, Eternal City. This will cause a portal to be opened leading to Nokstella, Eternal City in the Renna’s Rise tower, which you can access once you have given Ranni the blade. However, before she leaves, she makes it clear that she is aware of the plot that Seluvis is working on and that she has plans to do something about it.

In the event that you go back to Seluvis after Ranni has left, you will find that he has passed away; however, if you choose to investigate him, you will learn that he is still functioning as a vendor of puppets. It is important to keep in mind that even if you have prevented yourself from acquiring Nepheli’s or Dolore’s Puppet Spirit Ashes, you will still be able to do so from the body of the NPC Pidia, which can be found inside Caria Manor.
