Pokemon Emerald TBT – Moves Information

Welcome! This is the documentation for the modified rom of Pokemon Emerald called
Pokemon Emerald TBT (which is short for Throwback Thursday, it will make more sense
after you read the guides).

This game was modified by me, Kyrasawa, and no one else so if you see someone telling
around that they created it you can report it or something. It isn’t by any means a
professional hackrom of sorts, I’m pretty amateur at this area and I’m still learning, this is
the first time that I went a little further into modifying stuff more than just changing
locations of encounters so I beg you to bear with me if you find this boring or not
impressive, I hope I can bring in the future better stuff for everyone.
So, enough explanation about myself, let’s talk about the game right? What’s new here?

° All Pokemon were modified
° Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokemon only available
° No Legendary or Mythicals Encounters
° New Encounter Locations ( New Tall Grass Areas )
° Gameplay is Nuzlocke-Oriented
° All Trainers have new teams with new moves
° 32 moves from another Generations are here
° 7 original moves ( by myself )
° Higher leveled Wild Pokemon, to make grinding faster and rather harder
° E4 and Champion are all up to Lv.100
° Rare Candies and Heart Scales are found at PokeMarts
° Boss Trainers have a slightly improved AI.
And what isn’t new here?
° Quality of Life are in the same spot as before, except for the Candies and Scales
° Physical/Special split are the same as Gen 3 and before
° No mechanics or gimmicks from other generations

As I told before, it’s a simple modifying where I’m using as an experience to learn more, so
there isn’t new stuff like new boss battles or stuff like that, you’re gonna experience the
whole Emerald playthrough but with the Rosters changes.
Now I’m gonna talk about a few changes on certain moves and why I did that, the rest you
gonna be able to find on the other guides.

MOVES CHANGES & NEW MOVES
Cut
Normal Type > Grass Type
50 > 70 BP
95% > 100% Accuracy
Cut now went from a Normal Type move to a Grass Type move so it can be more useful and
you won’t need to have a HM Pokemon or anything like that.
Wing Attack
Flying Type
60 > 50 BP
100% Accuracy
Toned it a little down so I could introduce new Flying Type moves that doesn’t “overlap”
with other ones, so you won’t be undecided if you learn one or another.
Vine Whip
Grass Type
35 > 40 BP
100% Accuracy
Just so it could match with the “starter” move as Ember and Water Gun.
Every Move that Lowers/Increases 1 stage
5 PP

So, you all know how setup moves are really broken and especially back in the days were
the AI wasn’t the best right? So instead of completely taking out all of the buff and debuff
moves, I decided to “soft remake” all of them by making it only 5 PP, so you could never
make the opponent go to -6 stage or you could go to +6 stage with only one move, if you
want to do that you gonna have to spend 1 more slot on your moveset just to buff to
maximum, it’s your choice now.

Every Move that Lowers/Increases 2 stages
2 PP
The same explanation as before but now they’re hand-capped to only +4 or -4 since they’re
easier to setup.
Poison Sting
Poison Type
15 > 30 BP
100% Accuracy
To turn it into a better move for the early routes Poison types.
Supersonic
Normal Type
0 BP
55% > 70% Accuracy
Almost every move that had lower Accuracy than 70% I increased to 70%.

Disable
Normal Type
0 BP
55% > 70% Accuracy
20 PP > 10 PP
Just another example as Supersonic
Flamethrower
Fire Type
95 > 90 BP
100% Accuracy
Back in Gen 3, Fire Types almost didn’t have any option for a powerful Fire move except
from Flamethrower or the inaccurate Fire Blast and Heat Wave, so I toned it down a little so
I could introduce other moves.
Ice Beam
Ice Type
95 > 100 BP
100% Accuracy
Ice Types are such an underwhelming typing aren’t they? So I’m just buffing their main
move so they could deal a little more of damage.
Blizzard
Ice Type
120 BP
70% > 80% Accuracy
The same reason as above, but now making it a little more accurate so you don’t need to
depend on Hail as much as before.
Strength
Normal Type > Rock Type
80 BP
100% Accuracy
The same reason as Cut, so it can be more useful for a lot of Pokemon.
Razor Leaf
Grass Type
55 BP
95% > 100% Accuracy
There were literally no reason for Razor Leaf to not be 100% accurate, there are other high
critical-ratio moves that also are 100% accurate like Night Slash and Slash so.. deal with it.
Bad Status Moves
?? PP > 10 PP
Moves like Poison Powder. Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Spore, Toxic, Will-O-Wisp,
Frostbite, Thunder Wave, Sing, Grasswhistle and more are now all 10 PP only so you can’t
abuse it as much as before with their 20+ PP, some of them also had their accuracy lowered
or increased.

Sleep Powder
Grass Type
0 BP
75% > 70% Accuracy
15 PP > 10 PP
Sleep Powder is one of the most commonly used Status Moves so I made it a little more
inaccurate so people can try other types of strategy instead of just relying on the good and
old sleep.
Petal Dance
Grass Type
70 > 120 BP
100% Accuracy
20 PP > 10 PP
Just updated it to the nowadays Base Power and Power Points.
Fire Spin
Fire Type
15 BP
70% > 80% Accuracy
Just to make it more useful, I guess.
Thunder
Electric
120 BP
70% > 80% Accuracy
Same as Blizzard.
Toxic
Poison Type
0 BP
85% Accuracy > 90% Accuracy
10 PP > 5 PP
Toxic is one of the best Status Move in the game and easily one of the most used as well, so
even if I make it more accurate to hit I’m taking half of its PP so you can’t Toxic Stall a
whole team if you want to.
Recover
Normal Type
0 BP
20 PP > 10 PP
Same reason as Toxic, too much useful and too much spammed during Stall teams, deal
with it2.
Light Screen and Reflect
Psychic Type
20 PP > 10 PP
The screens are also receiving the same treatment as Toxic and Recover.

Hi Jump Kick
Fighting Type
85 > 130 BP
90% Accuracy
20 PP > 10 PP
Be careful or you can just straight up die after missing one Hi Jump Kick now.
Leech Life
Bug Type
20 > 60 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP > 10 PP
I wanted to make it go all up to the 80 BP it has now but, after some tests with a few
Pokemon I noticed that it would be too broken and decided to tone it down a little so it can
avoid stuffs like Butterfree sweeping a whole E4.
Bubble
Water Type
20 > 35 BP
100% Accuracy
Just a little buff, still pretty useless.
Flash
Normal Type > Electric Type
0 > 50 BP
70% > 100 Accuracy
20 PP > 10 PP
Flash now is an electric damage dealing move now, I took this idea since it launches a literal
Flash it could be an electric thing so.. yeah, deal with it3.
Crabhammer
Water Type
90 BP
85% > 100% Accuracy
Crabhammer is such a cool move but almost no one used and it is too much inaccurate to be
relied on, so I’m changing this as I’m also making other Pokemon learning this move.
Rest
Psychic Type
10 PP > 0 PP
Also receiving the same treatment as Toxic, Recover and the screens. Are you understanding
me now? No stalling.
Rock Slide
Rock Type
75 BP
90 > 95% Accuracy
Rock-type moves are always so inaccurate, so I’m buffing them a little.

Curse
??? Type
10 PP > 5 PP
Since Curse is essentially a setup move when it’s not used by a Ghost-type, I’m including it
in my setup moves clause and hand-capping it as well.
Aeroblast
Flying Type
100 > 110 BP
95% Accuracy
Oh hey, it’s Lugia’s Signature move… There’s definitely a reason for why I’m buffing it,
right? Side-eye
Mud-Slap
Ground Type
20 > 35 BP
100% Accuracy
Just making it slightly better, but still useless.
Octazooka
Water Type
65 BP
85% > 100% Accuracy
Same reason as Crabhammer.
Icy Wind
Ice Type
55 BP
95% > 100% Accuracy
Helping the Ice-Types a little more.
Outrage
Dragon Type
90 > 110 BP
100% Accuracy
Making the hard-hitting Dragons hit even harder.
Giga Drain
Grass Type
60 > 75 BP
100% Accuracy
5 PP > 10 PP
Just bringing it up to nowadays stats.

Fury Cutter
Bug Type
10 BP > 40 BP
95% Accuracy
Buffing it for my insect homies and also updating for the nowadays power.
Sacred Fire
Fire Type
100 > 110 BP
95% Accuracy
Hm.. Ho-oh’s signature move is also being buffed huh? Weird…
Dynamic Punch
Fighting Type
100 > 120 BP
50% > 60% Accuracy
Be careful when you see someone with Dynamic Punch in their moveset, you can never
know when this gonna hit.
Iron Tail
Steel Type
100 BP
75% > 90% Accuracy
Steel moves are pretty scarce in this gen so, making the one’s that exist being better for
them.
Metal Claw
Steel Type
50 BP
95% > 100% Accuracy
Same reason as above.
Twister
Dragon-Type
40 > 50 BP
100% Accuracy
Same reason as the other two above, but for Dragon types.
Ancient Power
Rock Type
60 > 80 BP
100% Accuracy
Be careful because now the omniboost isn’t the only thing that you need to be afraid.

Rock Smash
Fighting Type
20 > 40 BP
100% Accuracy
Making it better, the same as Cut and Strength before.
Heat Wave
Fire Type
100 > 95 BP
90% > 100 Accuracy
Making it a little less strong but now a 100% accurate move, so you can depend on it more
than Flamethrower.
Superpower
Fighting Type
120 > 150 BP
100% Accuracy
Now, this is what I call a true Super Power! But be careful tho, now it has a recoil.
Knock Off
Dark Type
20 > 65 BP
100% Accuracy
Making it more like it’s current stats.
Arm Thrust
Fighting Type
15 > 25 BP
100% Accuracy
Making it a little better for the “hands-givers”.
Blaze Kick
Fire Type
85 BP
90% > 100% Accuracy
Making it better as a Fire type move.
Hyper Voice
Normal Type
90 > 100 BP
100% Accuracy
Who doesn’t love to yell at the top of your lungs right? Make it go higher now!
Crush Claw
Normal Type
75 BP
95% > 100% Accuracy
Now you don’t need to be afraid about not crushing the opponent.

Meteor Mash
Steel Type
100 BP
85% > 90% Accuracy
Come on, you guys love Steel-Types, right?
Air Cutter
Flying Type
55 BP
95% > 100% Accuracy
25 PP > 20 PP
More options, more options…
Grasswhistle
Grass Type
55% > 90% Accuracy
15 PP > 10 PP
I know, I know, I just said that I was making the status moves a little less broken right, but
come on, who learns this move anyway?
Muddy Water
Water Type > Ground Type
95 BP
85% Accuracy
I don’t know why but I always thought that this move should’ve been a Ground Type move
instead of a Water type one, what do you guys think?
Bullet Seed
Grass Type
10 > 20 BP
100% Accuracy
Giving Grass-Types a more offensive option instead of the usual Vine Whip or Razor Leaf.
Aerial Ace
Flying Type
60 > 65 BP
Same reason as every other Flying type move changes.
Icicle Spear
Ice Type
10 > 20 BP
100% Accuracy
Same reason as Bullet Seed or any other Ice Type changes.

Mud Shot
Ground Type
55 > 60 BP
95% Accuracy
Giving the Ground types some more love.
Poison Tail
Poison Type
50 > 70 BP
100% Accuracy
25 PP > 15 PP
Poison Types usually don’t have a lot of powerful offensive options instead of Sludge,
Sludge Bomb and Gunk Shot, so I’m making it an other option for them.
Well, it was everything that changed from the previous known moves that you guys are
used to see in Pokemon Emerald, but what about the other moves that were brought
from the other generations? Let’s check it out.
Drain Punch
Fighting Type
75 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Making the Fighting Types a little more scarier now that they have their recovery move.
Bullet Punch
Steel Type
60 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
A priority Steel Type move for them that really needed a new move.
Nasty Plot
Dark Type
100% Accuracy
2 PP
A Dark-Type move that increases the SP.ATK by 2 stages, that’s something that a lot of
Pokemon love to use.
Air Slash
Flying Type
75 BP
95% Accuracy
15 PP
Remember that I was adjusting the BP of the others Flying Type move? Well, it’s because I
wanted to bring this bad boy out here, be careful with the Flinches.

Close Combat
Fighting Type
120 BP
100% Accuracy
5 PP
There’s no way that I would let Close Combat out of this roster, it’s just a really good move.
But now it has the effect of lowering the SP.DEF by 2 stages instead of the usually 1 stage
drop, be careful. Psychic Types gonna hit them really hard now.
Earth Power
Ground Type
90 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Making it an interesting option instead of the usual “go-to” Earthquake, being able to drop
the opponent’s DEF is a really good thing.
Night Slash
Dark Type
70 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
The Dark-Types didn’t have good options for their offensive side, their best move was
Crunch and there were a lot of them that didn’t even learn this move so, here we are with
more options, it’s high critical-ratio is really a blessing to have.
Dual Wingbeat
Flying Type
40 BP
90% Accuracy
10 PP
It’s low accuracy rate is helped by it’s two-times hit, a really good option for the offensive
flying types.
Seed Bomb
Grass Type
80 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Grass Type receiving another option.
Bug Buzz
Bug Type
90 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Even with the Bug Types being physical in this generation, there are a few ones that can
pretty much use this move with mastery.

Head Smash
Rock Type
140 BP
80% Accuracy
5 PP
Oh lord, the heavy-hitting inaccurate Head Smash, this thing is really a nerve-racking move
right? Not only dealing with its low accuracy you also need to be careful with the painful
recoil from it.
Focus Miss Blast
Fighting Type
120 BP
80% Accuracy
5 PP
Together with Head Smash, here it is, the infamous Focus Miss! Jokes aside, this is a really
powerful move but this low accuracy tends to make it hard to rely on.
Aqua Jet
Water Type
50 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
The most loved priority move is here, to help the 300 million Water-types in this region to
be even better,
Brave Bird
Flying Type
140 BP
90% Accuracy
5 PP
Now, this is what I’m talking about. The Flying-types just received their ultimate move,
they can now be truly menacing.
X-Scissor
Bug Type
80 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
From the series “ making Bug types better “, here it is the high critical-ratio X-Scissor for
y’all bug lovers.
Cross Poison
Poison Type
70 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
From the series “ making Poison types even better “, here it is the high critical-ratio Cross
Poison for y’all Crobat lovers.

Flame Burst
Fire Type
60 BP
100% Accuracy
25 PP
No more sticking with Ember until Lv30+ with this mid-stage move now, you can all smile
happily now, Charmander users.
Cotton Guard
Grass Type
85% Accuracy
2 PP
Raising your DEF 2 stages is really good, but there’s only a few that learns this move so, it
won’t be that much troublesome to include that.
Ice Shard
Ice Type
40 BP
100% Accuracy
20 PP
The priority Ice move is here, be careful Dragon type users.
Flash Cannon
Steel Type
80 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Just so Magneton can have another Steel Type except Metal Sound.
Shadow Sneak
Ghost Type
40 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
The Ghost-type priority move is also here, some time the battle is gonna be a clown fiesta of
priority moves only.
Sucker Punch
Dark Type
60 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Talking about priority.. Sucker Punch is changed in this game, it no longer needs the foe to
be preparing a move, it’s a full priority move now. For that reason this move had its original
BP of 80 toned down to 60 BP so it can be a little less problematic.

Snarl
Dark Type
55 BP
95% Accuracy
15 PP
There’s that day that you usually wants to just rant about everything right? Now you can do
it rightly with Snarl, and it also can make your opponent’s become distracted and lose their
powers in the SP.ATK side.
Dual Chop
Dragon Type
40 BP
90% Accuracy
15 PP
Just like Dual Wingbeat, having a two-times hit move is really good, and it totally
compensates its low accuracy.
Parabolic Charge
Electric Type
65 BP
100% Accuracy
20 PP
The recovery Electric type move is here, just to be clear it’s name in-game is Bolic Charge
instead of Parabolic Charge so, don’t get confused by it.
Scald
Water Type
70 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
You love to see it, right? A Water-type move that can burn your Pokemon.
Discharge
Electric Type
120 BP
100% Accuracy
5 PP
Discharge is over-buffed here because I wanted it to be like an Ultimate Move for the
Electric Types, but be extremely careful since it retains its Paralyze chances but now has a
recoil.
Roost
Flying Type
100% Accuracy
10 PP
I need you to really pay attention for what I’m about to say here. Roost restores the HP of
the user BUT it doesn’t remove it’s Flying typing here, don’t use it thinking you’re gonna
survive a Electric type move, because you won’t.

Rock Polish
Rock Type
100% Accuracy
2 PP
Hey, now the rocks can be really fast if they want to, isn’t it awesome?
Draco Meteor
Dragon Type
130 BP
90% Accuracy
5 PP
The Ultimate Finisher for the Dragon-Types is also here, but it has a terrible recoil from the
use, be careful.
Liquidation
Water Type
100 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Who told you that Water moves can’t hit like a truck? This one here can tell you otherwise.
Shadow Claw
Ghost Type
75 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
This move has a high critical-ratio and is really good for the Ghost-type lovers.
Fiery Dance
Fire Type
100 BP
100% Accuracy
5 PP
A devastating Fire-type move, that can deal a lot of damage and has a guaranteed SP.DEF
drop so, the next one is gonna hit even harder.
That’s it about the recreated moves, but what about the really NEW and ORIGINAL
ones? Do you want to know them now? Let’s go!
Iron Slash
Steel Type
100 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
A new Steel-type move that slashes the foe with a razor-sharped cut. It can give the user an
“omniboost”.

Toxic Slam
Poison Type
120 BP
100% Accuracy
5 PP
A new Ultimate Move for Poison-types. It’s a full force tackle with Poison inflicting
properties. It has a bad poison chance and a high critical-ratio.
Frostbite
Ice Type
0 BP
70% Accuracy
10 PP
A new status inflicting move. Ice-types are in a lot of disadvantages so I decided to give
then an insta-freezing move as Frostbite.
Freeze Shock
Ice Type
75 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
An Ice Beam that has a chance to paralyze the foe, instead of making it freeze.
Frost Burn
Ice Type
85 BP
100% Accuracy
10 PP
Whoa, the Ice-types just keep getting new things, huh? Now they have a move that can
inflict burn and also has a high critical-hit ratio, I hope those new moves make this typing
be a little better.
Dust Cloud
Ground Type
60 BP
100% Accuracy
15 PP
Nothing special to this move, just a regular damage-dealing Ground-type move.
Branch Storm
Grass Type
150 BP
100% Accuracy
5 PP
I noticed that the Grass-type doesn’t have a move like Eruption and Water Spout, so I
decided to create one with the same effect as the previously mentioned. Be careful with high
HP Grass-types now.
And that’s all folks!
