It was released in Japan on July 19, 2001, and in North America on January 29, 2002. The game is based on the manga series of the same name by Hiro Mashima.
The story follows Haru, a young boy who dreams of becoming a Rave Master, a legendary hero who can harness the power of the Rave. When the evil organization known as Blue Gale begins to wreak havoc on the world, Haru sets out to become a Rave Master and stop them. Along the way, he befriends a variety of characters, including the swordsman Sieg Hart, the shrine maiden Letz Stacia, and the demoness Musica.
