Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough is based upon the Japanese version of BW2. As such, it assumes that you either have a basic understanding of Japanese (enough to at least be able to convert Hiragana/Katakana into Romaji), or that you’re enough of a Pokemon fan to be able to identify Pokemon, moves, items and the like without an English text cue. If you’re playing the JP version, it’s more than likely that you qualify for at least one of the categories above. This Post-Game Walkthrough is in the process of being converted so that it’s based upon the US version of the games. You can read Pokemon Black 2/White 2 Main Walkthrough if you want.
Back At Aspertia City
The first time you enter the game after defeating the Pokemon League, you’ll be at your house. Move over and talk with your Mum. Cedric Juniper, Professor Juniper’s husband will barge in and hand you the National Dex. Sweet! Your Pokedex is now upgraded! Cedric will leave and you mother will hand you two Max Revives. It’s time to leave the house! Outside you’ll be stopped by Hugh and his little sister. You’ll be thanked for helping save her Purrloin and they’ll leave.
Other than that, that’s pretty much all there is to do here! You have a few main areas that have been opened and many small things that can now be done. Feel free to look through the Post-Game sections and do anything that tickles your fancy. Some stuff you’ll clearly be too weak for right now though (such as taking on Game Freak’s Morimoto), but there should be plenty of stuff that you can do that it shouldn’t really matter.
The three main areas to follow along from are Skyarrow Bridge, Tubeline Bridge or Black City (If you’re playing Black 2) or White Forest (If you’re playing White 2). Feel free to head to one of those sections, or a different one entirely, and get exploring! Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
Skyarrow Bridge
To get to the now-opened Skyarrow Bridge, Fly to Castelia City and head east along the street from the Pokemon Center, to the gate at the end. Head through the gate and you’ll be at the foot of the bridge! Head along the bridge. There’s not a whole lot to do here. The only thing of note is the man around halfway across the bridge selling Fresh Water for $300 each. Overpriced, but if you feel the need to buy one, do so. If you speak to him and decline, you’ll receive the hard sell. If so, simply decline again if you don’t want to buy and he’ll stop bothering you. Continue until you reach the gate at the end. Enter it and move through into Pinwheel Forest on the other side. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough

Continue south until you see a grassy path leading off west with Cheren at the start. Move over to him, talk and tell him ‘Yes’ when he asks if you’d like him to travel with you. He will then help out during any Double Battles that you’re in. After every battle (even Single Battles which Cheren doesn’t take part in) that he’s travelling with you for, all of your Pokemon, as well as all of his, will be fully healed. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough – No need to head back to Castelia City for the Pokemon Center there anymore, eh? You can’t head back onto the main road without having Cheren leave your party however, so keep this in mind. The party that Cheren uses when he’s with you is as follows:
Cheren’s Party
Pokemon | Level | Type |
---|---|---|
Stoutland | 67 | Normal |
Watchog | 65 | Normal |
Cinccino | 65 | Normal |
Head west along the grassy path, deeper into the forest. You’ll find a Preschooler and Nursery Aide here. If you move between them, they’ll simultaneously challenge you and you’ll take part in a Double Battle with Cheren as your partner. You can also talk to the Preschooler first and force him into a battle then take the Nursery Aide on seperately afterwards. Either works fine. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough

Pick it up, then head back up the three sets of stairs. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough

When you do, turn your Dowsing MCHN on and use it to find the hidden PP Up. Move back east into the main part of town once you have it. When you reach the Pokemon Center, move north up its left side. When you reach the road again, move west to the cafe. When you reach it, enter the building. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
Inside, move down the steps to the lower level and talk to the woman there. She’ll give you a Grubby Hanky if you answer with ‘Yes’ when asked. Yay? Head back outside and head east down the road. When you reach the Museum (the large old-style building), enter it. Head on through and you’ll be stopped by a Scientist. This guy’s Lenora, an old Gym Leader’s husband, if you happen to remember that. He’ll talk with you and Lenora will appear. She will offer you a fossil. If you select the first option you’ll be given a Cover Fossil, which can be used to regenerate Tirtouga. If you select the second option you’ll be given a Plume Fossil, which can be used to regenerate Archen. When you regenerate a Pokemon, it will become yours. Pick whichever one you want and confirm that you want it and it’ll be given to you. Unfortunately you only get one, but we can’t be too greedy, now can we? Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
After you’ve received a fossil, you’ll be given a short tour of the museum by Lenora’s hubby. You’ll stop at the stairs. You can head up them and explore the old gym if you want, but there’s nothing to do there. Instead, I’d recommend heading back to the entrance. If you talk to the woman at the right of the two counters, she’ll take your fossil away and use it to regenerate a Pokemon. Clear a spot in your party by depositing a Pokemon in the PC at the Pokemon Center then come back and talk with her again to receive your Pokemon. Yay! It will start off at Level 25, so if you want to use it it’s going to take a bit of training before it’s going to be useful. Exit the museum. If you don’t want to use it, you can swap it back with the Pokemon that you deposited in your PC. Once you’ve done all that you’ve completed all there is to do in Nacrene City! It’s only small and gives a few items in return, so it may be a nice idea. Skip to that section, then come back to here once you’re done. Oh, and make sure you have a Pokemon that can use Flash!
Once you’re ready, move east from the entrance to the cave over to the Tall Grass. Move east through the Grass until you reach the Lass.

Once you’ve defeated the last Preschooler, head into the sandpit. One of them has buried an item here. Use your Dowsing MCHN to find it, a Rare Candy. Once you have it, head back to the stairs. This time head east from the stairs and enter the building there. It’s the Pokemon Day Care! Awesomeness. Here it’s all about Breeding Pokemon. There are various rules to breeding, but the main idea is to have two Pokemon of opposite genders, but of the same Egg Group placed in Day Care so that they can breed and create eggs. If you come back after a time this should have happened and you should have an Egg that you can carry around. If you walk around enough with the Egg in your party, it will eventually hatch. These are the basics of breeding. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
The second, but less important function of the Day Care is to level Pokemon. Placing them in Day Care will cause them to slowly level up as you travel about. When you come back, you’ll be able to take your Pokemon back out, but at a cost of $100 plus $100 per level gained. Pokemon that level in Day Care and reach a level where they’d learn a new move, they do so and forget the move on the top of the list. The new move is then placed on the bottom of the list and all others are shuffled up a slot. In this way, your Pokemon may learn moves that you don’t want it to and it may forget ones that you want it to keep. For this reason, it’s generally not a great idea to use the Day Care as a form of training your strong Pokemon. Still, if you want to, feel free to. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
Once you’re done at the Day Care, head back outside and move down the steps to the road. Follow the road around south and into Striaton City. Skip ahead to that section and continue on! Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough

If you want, stock up on any items you may need also. Once you’re ready, go back outside. Put your explorer’s cap on, because we’re going exploring! Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
First let’s head back west, over the bridge to the fountain. Take the bridge south of the fountain and move down into the south-east corner of the area. There you’ll find a Yellow Shard. Now head to the west side of this area and use your Dowsing MCHN to find the hidden Full Restore. Move back over the bridge to the fountain. This time take the western bridge. Grab the Max Elixir here then move onto the water just north of the bridge. Surf north then move onto the area with the Hiker standing around on it. Talk to him and you’ll get a Big Pearl.
Move back onto the water and Surf back to the main area. Head back to the fountain and move back over to the eastern bridge. Now stand on it and head onto the water to its north. Surf up onto the little gap between two hedges on the north-east edge of the water. Use the Dowsing MCHN to find the PP Up hidden here. Now Surf back to the bridge and head back into the main part of town. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
The building to the left of the Pokemon Center is the Trainers’ School. Head there if you want to know the basics… not that you should need to. You can also enter the building south of the Trainers’ School and talk to the little girl inside. If you win a game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’, you’ll be able to begin Fun Fest Mission. Give it a go! Head back out and head back to the Pokemon Center.
To the right of the Pokemon Center is the old Gym, with Clyde standing in front of it. Talk to Clyde and he’ll head inside. Follow him in. You’ll see that the old Gym is now a fully-fledged restaurant. The three old Gym Leaders, Cilan, Chili and Cress are running the restaurant. An awesome daily event you can take part in is Double Battles with the three former Gym Leaders. You get to team up with one against the other two. Choose whoever you want to team up with and talk to them. Answer ‘Yes’ to their question and the battle will promptly start. The parties of the three guys are as follows:

You will receive a $16080 for winning. As stated above, these battles can be performed once per day, so feel free to come back at any time and take part again.
Besides these battles, you can talk to the woman standing on the platform at the north end of the room. If you answer ‘Yes’ to her question, three of her Pansages will jump out and you will play a game of guess the Pansage. You will be told to follow one of them. Try to do so as they move around. When they finally stop, you’re given a chance to guess the correct one. If you do, you’ll receive a Big Mushroom. Other than that, there’s nothing else you can really do in the restaurant, so feel free to leave. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
Move over to the building south of the restaurant and enter it. Move up to the top floor. In the west part of the room is an Up-Grade. Feel free to grab it, then leave the building. Head into the building just below it. Talk to the guy with the orange shirt here to receive a Great Ball. Exit the building.
To your south is Route 2. Feel free to head there now if you want, but there’s still a little more to do in Stiaton. Before we keep exploring though, head out past the fence to your south, then move between the trees and the left fence along the thin path. At the end is a Timer Ball. Pick it up then backtrack until you’re out of the path. Head back north to where the restaurant is. Now head east, then south so that you’re behind the buildings. There will be a shady man here. If you speak with him, he’ll give you five Dusk Balls for no apparent reason. That’s all there is to do in this city. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
You can head north from the shady man to find a path leading east. If you follow it you’ll reach the Dreamyard. This is nice extra area that you can explore! Head through if you want to. If you want to go straight to Route 2 instead, feel free to skip ahead to that section.

Head east into the main part of Dreamyard. When you see the small tree, continue past it and move through the gap in the fence. As you do, Latios/Latias will fly past, east to west across the screen. Now head back to the small tree and use Cut to chop it down. Move through the small doorway that you just opened up, then head through into the burnt-out building. Latios/Latias will head back from west to east across the screen. Head west over to the Tall Grass there and grab the Rare Candy sitting in the grass. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough

Nuvema Town
First, let’s head into the house south-west of the entrance. Inside, you’ll find the mother of the main character from BW. She’ll greet and talk with you. She’ll offer to heal your Pokemon whenever you speak with her, so keep this in mind. Once you’re done speaking with her, head upstairs and grab the King’s Rock next to the bed. Once you have it, exit the house. When you’re back outside, turn your Dowsing MCHN on and use it to find the Zinc to your west. Once you have it, take the path south and enter the eastern of the two houses. Talk to the bald man inside. He’s Cheren’s father and will give you some Berry Juice. Sweet! Once you get it, head back outside. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
Now head to the building in the north-west part of town. Yep, it’s Juniper’s lab! Head inside. Here you’ll find Professor Juniper herself. If you come here and speak with her when you’ve seen all of the Pokemon in the Unova Pokedex, she will give you a License. When you speak with her when you’ve caught all of the Pokemon in the Unova Pokedex and you’ll receive the Oval Charm and speak with her when you’ve caught all of the Pokemon in the National Pokedex and you’ll receive the Shiny Charm. It might seem like a lot of effort, but it’s definitely worth it for the hardcore Pokemon Trainers out there. Pokemon Black 2 Post-Game Walkthrough
Also here is the Professor’s hubby, Cedric. Speak with him and he’ll give you the Super Rod. Hell yes! You can now fish at any body of water all around Unova! How awesome! Once you’re done, head back outside. That’s all there is to do in Nuvema Town actually, so head back into Route 1 and continue on where you left. That’s if you’re actually following the walkthrough exactly.

It can be a little hectic traversing these currents, so be careful. When you’re ready to, move south from where you got spat out. Move between the two currents moving east, down to some shallows below. Move onto them and grab the Pearl String and the hidden Shoal Shell. Once you’ve done that, backtrack to where you got spat out of the current heading from Route 18 back into Route 17.
Now head between the two currents to the west of where you got spat out (one current’s heading east, the other north). There’ll be a small gap between them. And that’s everything in south-east Unova! If you haven’t explore north-west Unova (starting at Tubeline Bridge) or Clay Tunnel yet, I’d recommend doing so now! More post-game areas to explore! If you plan to tackle north-west Unova, I recommend first working through the Victory Road – Entering N’s Castle and N’s Castle sections before continuing onto Tubeline Bridge and beyond. Feel free to look at any other post-game content or anything that takes your fancy though!
Victory Road – Entering N’s Castle
To be able to face Zekrom or Reshiram (depending on your game) and have the chance to catch it, we must first explore N’s Castle. Getting there is a bit more difficult than it was in BW, but it’s still not too hard. The best way to reach it is to Fly to the Pokemon Leage then head into Victory Road from there. I’ll direct you to the entrance below. Head from the Pokemon Center at the Pokemon League south until you’re out of the area. Once you are, move around and enter the cave. Head east, then south to exit the cave.

As soon as you enter, you’ll see N nearby. Move up to him and he’ll talk with you. Answer ‘Yes’ when he asks his question and he’ll team up with you. You can’t explore the castle without him teaming up with you. Once he’s travelling with you, head north through the door. You’ll be in a room full of toys. Head up them.
Head west until N says that you should continue alone. When he does, head north through the door. Head north through this area until N calls out and catches up. You’ll continue to talk before he throws out his Zekrom (Black 2) or Reshiram (White 2) and challenges you to a battle. This is his only Pokemon, so it won’t be a crazily difficult battle. Even so, if you don’t think you’re up to the task, you can answer with a ‘No’ and come back later. If you answer ‘Yes’, the battle will begin.

Once N’s Pokemon has been defeated, N’ll talk with you, then turn it into a stone. In Black 2 this is the Dark Stone. In White 2 this is the Light Stone. N will then give this stone to you. Guess what? You can use this to catch the Pokemon you just battled! If you haven’t yet explored north-west Unova, head out of N’s Castle and the cave, then Fly to Opelucid City, head west onto the Tubeline Bridge and begin exploring. If you already have, Fly straight to Icirrus City so that you can take on Dragonspiral Tower and catch us some Legendaries.
Tubeline Bridge
This bridge acts as the gateway to north-west Unova, allowing you to explore these areas after defeating the Elite Four. To get there, simply Fly to Opelucid City (which you’ll find has now been cleaned up after Team Plasma’s attack), then head out of the east exit and through Route 9. After that, you’ll be in Tubeline Bridge!
Once you enter it, you’ll notice Battle Subway trains moving underneath bridge. Run what appears to be south along the bridge until you reach a Battle Girl in the centre. Talk with her and she’ll hand you TM43 – Flame Charge. Niiiiice! No one else on the bridge is important, so continue until you reach the gate on the other side. Talk to the Scientist on the north side of the gate to receive EnergyPowder, then exit the gate into Route 8!

Something to note about Route 8 is that it snows when it’s Winter in-game (April, August and December). When this happens, all of the puddles that would normally be accessible in the area is frozen over, leaving only water to fish and Surf on to encounter wild Pokemon. During the other months, moving through puddles is like moving through Tall Grass; Pokemon will appear at random. During Winter, many areas are also slippery, so you’ll slide along in a single direction until you hit an obstruction, at which point you can slide in another direction. You’ll need to do this to navigate these areas. It’s not all that hard, so you shouldn’t need me to hold your hand and guide you through. Anyway, let’s get onto the walkthrough itself!
First, talk to the Parasol Lady to the north of the entrance. If you do, she’ll hand you a Heat Rock. From there, head south into the puddles and move over to the deep water. Use Surf on it and move to the south edge. Move back onto the puddle there and grab the Big Pearl. Move back onto the water and back onto the land, this time on the western side. Move over to the nearby Parasol Lady and start the battle! This one’s a Rotation Battle, against three Castforms, no less.

First, turn on your Dowsing MCHN and head west. Use it to find the nearby TinyMushroom. From there, head north up the hill past the bald man. When you see the boulder to your west, move down to it. As soon as you move under the bridge, you’re in Icirrus City! This city is pretty spread out so it’s easy to miss something. Luckily, I’m here to make sure that you don’t! First, when you see the stairs leading up to the higher level, move up them. Head west over the white bridge and you’ll be at the Pokemon Center. Head inside. Heal your Pokemon and stock up on any items that you feel you may need. To the right of the Nurse’s counter is a man that you can sell evolutionary stones to (eg. Fire Stone, Thunderstone etc.) as well as a variety of different items of value. If you’ve saved your Nuggets and Big Nuggets, now is the time to sell them, as he will pay you a huge amount of money for each one. He pays a fair bit for other items to, so if there are some that you don’t need and want a bit of extra cash, feel free to sell them. Also talk to the Battle Girl south-west of the Nurse’s counter. She’ll give you a Black Belt! Cool. Now head back outside.
First, let’s head east back over the white bridge and further east over the yellow one. When you move toward the item, the three Shadow Triad Members will appear. Not these guys again! They’ll almost immediately challenge you to fight. If you choose ‘Yes’, you’ll be battling them in succession. You can, however, answer ‘No’ when they challenge you to the second or third fight. If you choose to do this, you won’t be able to battle the one’s that you didn’t battle later on. It’s one chance only.
If you choose ‘No’ before battling any of them, you can prepare then come back to them. Once you’re ready to, take them on! They’re quite powerful, so be careful! The second battle is a Triple Battle and the third a Rotation Battle, so you may want to reorder your party beforehand.

Once the last of them has teleported away, head over and grab the PP Up that was behind them. Now head back west, to the Pokemon Center. Heal your Pokemon, then head west, then north. Continue north past the building to your right until you see an intersection. Take the path leading west. In the building to your north is the former Icirrus City Gym. If you can make it through all the puzzles to the very top you can speak with Brycen, the former Gym Leader. Nothing of known importance will actually happen if you do though, so you don’t have to go there if you don’t want to.
Once you’re done, enter the house to the south. If you talk to the man here, he’ll ask to be shown Pokemon. Now, he will give you an item for each category of Pokemon that you show him, which all depends on how many Levels it’s been trained since it was caught or you gained ownership of it. If you show him a Pokemon that has gained between 25 and 49 Levels, the man will give you an Exp. Share. If you show him one that has gained between 50 and 98 Levels, he’ll give you a Cleanse Tag. Finally, if you can show him a Pokemon that’s gained a whopping 99 Levels (so you’d need to gain ownership at Level 1 and train it all the way up to Level 100), the man will give you a King’s Rock. The woman here is also of use, telling you the happiness of any of your Pokemon. Feel free to use this tool at your leisure. Once you’re done, head back outside and backtrack to the intersection.
Now head east and enter the house there. As soon as you enter, a woman will come up to you and lead you in. The three of them will go a little crazy and will eventually ask you a question for a quiz. You can then enter your answer. If you give the correct answer, you’ll receive an Antidote. If you get it wrong, you’ll receive Parlyz Heal. You can take the quiz once a day, with questions changing between days. Feel free to come back if you really want, but it’s not really worth it. Once you’re done here, head back outside.
If you head north from the intersection, you’ll reach Dragonspiral Tower, where you can take on Reshiram or Zekrom after defeating them in N’s Castle. If you haven’t yet explored N’s Castle, I’d definitely recommend going there first, otherwise there’s not a whole lot of point in exploring the tower. If you decide to do so, skip ahead to the Victory Road – Entering N’s Castle. Once N’s defeated, head back to Icirrus City and feel free to head into Dragonspiral Tower.
Other than that, there are two last places to explore, but this can only be done during Winter. Feel free to set your DS or 3DS to a Winter month (April, August, December), then re-enter the game, head into a building and back out. When you do, it’ll be set to Winter! Once you have, move down the steps east of the Pokemon Center. Slide over the ice to your south, then head south-west. When you reach some steps moving up to your west, head south from the foot of them. You’ll move up a pile of snow. When you do, head east over to the house. Enter it.
Inside you’ll find a Roughneck who just happens to be an ex-Team Rocket member, all the way from Kanto. Kind of cool. Talking to the Ace Trainer here will cause something interesting to happen. Once you’re done, exit the building and jump down the ledges below. Head back to the Pokemon Center.
Now head up the path to the west of the Pokemon Center leading north. Continue until you find a large pile of snow creating a ramp up to an area above near the entrance to Dragonspiral Tower. Move up this ramp and head north through the Tall Grass. Past it is some NeverMeltIce. Nice! Backtrack to the Pokemon Center. Guess what? That’s everything! Don’t forget to set your DS or 3DS back to the proper month and enter and exit a building to have it reset.
From here, you can either head north to Dragonspiral Tower, or head west from the Parasol Lady south-west of the Pokemon Center into Twist Mountain. Skip ahead to the section you wish to explore, although it’s recommended that you explore Dragonspiral Tower.

Head up the curving stairs. When you reach the top, you’ll find gaps in the platforms here, with a number or ramps between them. You can use these ramps to jump from platform to platform, but they’re only one-way, making it a little harder to traverse the area. First, use the ramp to jump to the platform to your south. Now take the middle of the three ramps heading west. Continue using the ramps until you reach the Shiny Stone. Pick it up, then jump north, then north again, then east. Grab the Protein here. Now jump south twice, then east. You’ll be back at the start.
Now that you have the items, you can aim to get to the entrance to the next level. Once again, jump south. This time, use the bottom of the three ramps leading west. Head west two more times, then head north. You’ll now be able to move over and head up the stairs to the next floor, 4F. When you reach the top, move through the door.
Dragonspiral Tower – 4F
Head west up the steps, then south to the next set. Move up them, and continue around until you’ve moved up another two sets. Once you’ve done that, head east past the next set leading up and you’ll reach a set leading down. Move down them and grab the three items here. The top one is an Adamant Orb, the middle a Griseous Orb and the bottom a Lustrous Orb. Head back up the steps and up the set leading north. Head through the door into 5F.
Dragonspiral Tower – 5F
This puzzle’s a little tricker as it’s more difficult to easily see a path through. From the entrance, head right until you see a bridge taking you to a ring further in. Now head left until you reach the next bridge. Move across it and grab the TM02 – Dragon Claw. Jump over the one-way ramp and head right, past the bridge leading onto a ring further in. When you reach two bridges leading out, move over both of them and head left. You’ll find a PP Max at the end. Head back to the right and head back over both bridges. Head left to the bridge leading and head over it.
You’re now in the inner-most circle. Head right and jump over the one-way ramp. Move over the bridge to a right further out. Head left and head over another bridge. Head right over the bridge to the outer-most ring and instead continue on to the end, where a Max Revive is waiting for you. Grab it and move back to the bridge that you skipped past. Move over it and head left to the stairs leading to 6F.
Dragonspiral Tower – 6F
Follow the path around. When you see the Comet Shard, grab it. Continue along the path until you reach the next set of stairs. Move up them onto the final floor.
Dragonspiral Tower – 7F
Head east, then north across the thin path to the main area. Move forward. If you have the Dark Stone or Light Stone you’ll stop. You’ll be given two options. ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. If you choose yes, Reshiram or Zekrom, depending on which game you’re playing, will be released from the stone. Watch the epic cut-scene. Once you have, interacting with the Pokemon will cause the battle to commence. First though, head east to the very edge of the platform. Head north between a thin gap between some rubble and the edge. Now find the nearby hidden Comet Shard by using your Dowsing MCHN. Once you have it, head back around to the Pokemon and interact with it to begin the battle! Before interacting with it, remember to Save your game first, especially if you intend on catching it. It can take many goes before you catch a Legendary Pokemon.

This time around, you can catch the Pokemon! You might consider using a Master Ball here, although it can be better spent on other Legendaries that are more difficult to catch. It’s all about getting the enemy’s HP as low as possible and using a Master Ball or [[Ultra Ball]s or an appropriate special Poke Ball. Obviously, if you don’t want to catch it, just defeat it. You only get the one chance though, so make sure that you don’t accidentally kill it.
Want to get Kyurem? If you’ve caught Reshiram or Zekrom, you can! Just head onto the Giant Chasm – Kyurem section. Note that you can fly from the top floor of Dragonspiral Tower, so it’ll save you heading all the way back down to the bottom manually.
If you don’t have a Dark Stone or Light Stone, nothing will have happened here. You should head to N’s Castle, getting there by Victory Road – Entering N’s Castle and complete that section, then return here.
Giant Chasm – Kyurem
So you want to catch Kyurem, once and for all? Guess where it’s chillin’? Back in Giant Chasm, where you battled it after chasing Ghetsis! You need to have first captured Zekrom or Reshiram first from Dragonspiral Tower, depending on which game you’re playing. Once you have, it’s off to Giant Chasm you go!
Either get there by Flying to Humilau City and heading through Route 22 into Giant Chasm or, if you pushed that boulder into the hole when exploring Giant Chasm, Fly to Lacunosa Town and head east into Route 13. Near the start of the route you’ll see a boulder in a hole, move over it and head north to the entrance to the Chasm. Head inside.
If you entered by Route 22, you’ll need to head south, then west until you see a large set of stairs leading down to a doorway. If you enter by Route 13, you’ll start nearby this doorway. Head down and enter it. You’ll be out in the forest area where the Plasma Frigate was. Head down the stairs and head north. When you see some Tall Grass leading east, follow it. You’ll appear in the clearing that the Frigate created.
Make your way to the east side of the clearing, then head north-east through a gap, some Tall Grass then some Dark Grass. Head east to the very edge of the area, up against a rock wall. Now head north along the side. When the path turns west, follow it up until you reach the stairs leading up to a cave. Move up them and enter.
Head through this area of the cave to the doorway at the end and enter. Move through until you reach Kyurem. Guess what? Battle time! If you want to catch it (and why wouldn’t you?), save your game before you start the battle. That way you can restart if you accidentally make it faint, or if it ‘accidentally’ utterly owns your team. If you do defeat it though, you can always make it through the Elite Four once more and it will reappear, but it’s not recommended.
Once it’s done, Bianca and Cheren will come in to chill and have a relaxing chat with you. After conversing for a while, they’ll leave. Pick up the nearby item, the DNA Splicers. Done! Now head back outside and Fly to wherever you’d like and do whatever you’d like!
You’re free to do whatever Post-Game content that you want! You can also head into Twist Mountain from Icirrus City, but it’s recommended you access it from Clay Tunnel instead. Speaking of which, you can head there now if you want to. As well as that, there’s the eastern and south-eastern Unova to explore. If you wish to explore eastern Unova, see the Black City (Black 2) or White Forest (White 2) sections. If you wish to explore south-east Unova, see the Skyarrow Bridge section. Feel free to look at any other post-game content or anything that takes your fancy though!
Black City
To reach Black City, Fly to Undella Town. Make sure your Pokemon are healed, then head from the Pokemon Center into Route 14. If you haven’t yet explored it I suggest you head to that section and follow it along, then skip back to here. Once you’re done there, head to the route’s south-western exit and head through into Black City!
If you haven’t visited Black City before, you’ll be blown away by how metropolitan it is as you enter. Head south and continue doing so until you see the bright red roof of the Pokemon Center. Head inside. Heal your Pokemon and restock on items if you really need to. Once you’re done, head back out. Normally this would be the point where we’d explore, but for such a huge place, there’s an ironically tiny amount of stuff to do here. Instead, move onto the path to the west of the Pokemon Center. If you head down to the intersection to the south, you can head along the road taking you west until you reach the gate at the end. If you move through the gate there, you’ll reach Route 15. Move ahead to that section if you want to explore the area.
If you don’t want to just yet, there is one thing to do here. Move onto the path to the west of the Pokemon Center. This time follow it around north. When you turn west and see the path turn back north, move along it to the massive building at the end. This is known as the Black Tower. Head over to this section if you want information about it. It is similar in style to that of the Pokemon World Tournament or Battle Subway.
The large black building with touches of orange to the west of the Pokemon Center is the market, which will open as you progress through Black Tower, but offers nothing the first time entering the city. Feel free to head into Black Tower now, or head into Route 15 if you don’t wish to explore it at this time.
White Forest
To reach White Forest, Fly to Undella Town. Make sure your Pokemon are healed, then head from the Pokemon Center into Route 14. If you haven’t yet explored it I suggest you head to that section and follow it along, then skip back to here. Once you’re done there, head to the route’s south-western exit and head through into White Forest!

Whoop, another Route! This one also happens to be the final one I’m covering, ever! *reminiscent moment* Okay, let’s get on with it! Near the entrance is a Pokefan. Move up to her and take her on!

If you really want to, you can head straight over the bridge and head through the gate to Marvelous Bridge, but this walkthrough will assume that you want to explore the entire area. From the female Pokefan, head south down the stairs. You’ll see a boulder here. Use Strength on it. Push it three tiles south, one tile east, one tile south and finally one tile east, into the hole. If you don’t do it in this exact order you’ll get the boulder stuck and won’t be able to grab TM26 – Earthquake from behind it. Once you have the TM, head north-east through the Tall Grass until you reach another boulder. Push this one three tiles west, two tiles north and one tile east. It will drop into the hole. Move south to the female Backpacker wandering about and take her on.

Now head back north over the boulder and up the thin stairs. Turn on your Dowsing MCHN and head north through the Dark Grass. Use the MCHN to find the hidden Ultra Ball, then head back down the stairs. Move west past the female Backpacker until you reach another set of thin stairs. Move up them and head along the thin path until you’ve moved beneath the bridge and reached the end. You’ll find a Max Potion there. Grab it and move back down the stairs. Jump over the ledge to your south, where the male Backpacker is. Interact with him and a battle will start.

Jump down the second ledge then circle around to the northern ledge and jump back over it to that you’re back in the same area as Talon. Now head up the stairs taking you west. At the top of the stairs you’ll find a male Pokefan. Battle time, good sir/madam!

If you head inside and talk with Scientist Lilian inside, you can trade her a Ditto for a Level 60 Rotom. If you can and want to trade, feel free to do so. Once you’re all done, head back out of the trailer.
Once you’re back outside the trailer, head east and move north up the stairs. Move over the small bridge and you’ll come upon another Scientist. This one doesn’t want to trade though, she wants to fight!

Marvelous Bridge

Swanna | Water/Flying | 100% | 54-57 | Shadows |
First up, if you haven’t yet obtained the Lunar Wing from the Strange House, I’d recommend heading there now and collecting it. If you don’t, you’ll be unable to interact with Cresselia, a Legendary Pokemon. This bridge also functions similarly to the Driftveil Drawbridge did, with it possible to catch Swanna flying overhead. As before, they drop feathers. If you move into a shadow on the bridge, you will either encounter a Swanna or find a feather. It’s not possible to determine between the two. Once you’re ready to, head west across the bridge.
As you move past the girl, she’ll suddenly disappear. The ghost from Strange House! Continue along the bridge. Partway across you’ll stop and Cresselia will appear, assuming that you have the Lunar Wing. It will fly down onto the bridge. Interact with it and the battle will begin.
Wild Pokemon Battle
Pokemon | Level | Type |

Feel free to attempt to catch the Legendary. If you want to save it for later, simply don’t interact with it and come back when you feel that you’re ready to take it on. Make sure to save your game before taking it on, especially if you want to catch it. If you fail to catch it, then you can just restart and try again. Once you’re all done, continue west.
Near the end of the bridge you’ll find a man who’s willing to sell you a Level 5 Magikarp for a cheap $500! Whoa! Hmmm, something seems familar, eh? Seriously though, these things are harder to get, being in Unova, as opposed to Kanto, so it may even be worth it if you’re looking to train it into a Gyarados. Once you’re done, continue to the elevator at the end. Take it down to the gate below. You’ll have opened up the entrance between Marvelous Bridge and Route 16! Cool! Head out to Route 16 and feel free to fly to wherever you want and do whatever you want!
Cave of Being
To reach the Cave of Being, Fly to Floccesy Town. Head north out of town into Route 20. Head east over the bridge, then north through the Tall Grass. Head east down the stairs, south along the past, then east over to the water there. Use Surf and head south, then west over to the waterfall. Use Waterfall to move up it. Head west, then south between the rocks. Follow the path around until you reach the entrance to the Cave of Being. Head inside. Now that you’ve (assumedly) beaten the Elite Four, Professor Juniper will be inside the cave. Move up behind her and she’ll spin around.
Speak with Juniper, then head north past her. You’ll be brought into the centre of the cave and three Legendaries, known as the Lake Guardian Trio, will appear before fleeing the cave. Guess what? They’re now spread out across the Unova region! Want to go catch them? Let’s go! Juniper will leave, and you should too.
Although you can find these three Pokemon in any order that you like, this walkthrough will do it in the following order:
- Celestial Tower – Mesprit
- Route 23 – Azelf
- Nacrene City – Uxie
You can, of course, skip to any of the three sections and do them in the order that you want though. Anyway, onto the first of them!
Celestial Tower – Mesprit
Fly to Mistralton City, then head out into Route 7. Head all the way through to Celestial Tower at the end. Move up to the top floor of the tower. Here you’ll find Mesprit by attempting to walk up the stairs to the bell. You’ll stop and be asked a question. Answer ‘Yes’ and it’ll appear! Feel free to take it on. You can, of course, try and catch it. If you decide to, save first as you only get one chance. If you fail to catch it, simply reload your game and try again.

Route 23 – Azelf
From Victory Road, head south into Route 23. Head down the stairs and under the bridge until you reach the T-intersection. Take the path leading west until you reach the small tree. Use Cut on it, then head west along the path that you just opened. Keep going past the next small tree to the point where the path forks, with both paths continuing to lead west. Take the lower path and head up the stairs onto the small platform. Move onto the tile just at the top of the northern-most part of the stairs. Select the ‘Yes’ option and Azelf will appear. Feel free to take it on. You can, of course, try and catch it. If you decide to, save first as you only get one chance. If you fail to catch it, simply reload your game and try again.

Once you’re done here, use Fly and head to Nacrene City. This of course assumes that you’ve already visited the city once before. If you haven’t, you’ll need to visit by foot first. If so, see the Skyarrow Bridge section and follow the sections along until you reach Nacrene City.
Nacrene City – Uxie
Once you’ve reached Nacrene City, head to the front of the Nacrene Museum. Walk into the very centre of the paved circle in front of the museum. When you move onto the tile, you will be asked a question. Answer ‘Yes’ and the last of the Lake Guardians, Uxie, will appear. Take it on, the same as the others. You can, of course, try and catch it. If you decide to, save first as you only get one chance. If you fail to catch it, simply reload your game and try again.

Once you’re done, you will have completed the Lake Guardian Trio portion of the game. Feel free to go on with whatever post-game content that you want to.
Reversal Mountain – Heatran
Once you’ve found the Magma Stone in Route 18, you’ll be able to use it to encounter Heatran, a Legendary found in Reversal Mountain. The easiest way to get there is to fly to Lentimas Town and head east into the mountain from there.
Reversal Mountain – Heatran – Black 2 Version
Once you’re inside the mountain, head north through to the back of the first area. Move through the door leading east. Head south until you reach the south edge of the room, then head east. Continue east until you reach the Doctor standing in front of a doorway down some steps. Move down the steps and enter the door. In the next room, head north down the steps. Attempt to move down the steps to the small little section that’s lower than the other areas. You’ll be stopped and asked to answer a question. Answer with ‘Yes’ and Heatran will appear. Move up to it and interact with it to begin the battle. Don’t forget to save it first, that way if you fail in catching (or defeating it, if you don’t want to catch it), you’ll be able to try again! You only get one shot otherwise!

Exploring Clay Tunnel, you’ll be able to encounter Regirock, as well as Regice and Registeel after it. Sounds cool? Thought so! To get there, Fly to Driftveil City. Heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center if you need to, as well as stock up on items. When you’re ready, head north from the Center. When you reach the stairs leading up to your north, move up them, then head west down the, now open set of stairs leading down west to the entrance to Clay Tunnel. Use the Dowsing MCHN just outside the tunnel to find a Rare Bone hidden in a pile of dirt. Once you have it, head into Clay Tunnel itself!
Clay Tunnel – Area One
From there entrance, head north along the old mine cart lines until you reach the Hiker. He’ll speak up and initiate a battle!

You should see a small set of stairs leading east, down to a slightly lower area. Move down them and use your Dowsing MCHN to find a Full Heal. Once it’s in your possession, back track to the Hiker and take the minecart line leading east. At the end is a Worker standing in front of a minecart. Talk with him and answer ‘Yes’ to ride the minecart to the next area, seeing as there’s nothing else to do here.
Clay Tunnel – Area Two
In this area, first move south. You should almost immediately see a boulder. Use Strength to push it into the hole to its west. You don’t need to move over it right now, but it will come in handy as a shortcut if you ever went to quickly skip most of this area. Okay, now head south to where the water is. Move onto it using Surf and head over onto the island in the middle. Check the southern-most of the two rocks to find a Steel Gem. Now Surf east, back over to the ground there. Move onto the ground and continue south. In a corner of the area, as the minecart line bends east, you’ll find a Red Shard. Pick ‘er up and follow the cart line around to the Hiker. Take him on!

If you continue north, you’ll reach the entrance to Twist Mountain. We don’t want to head there just yet, but we’ll be there soon enough. Instead, head south, then east from the Pokemon Ranger, over to the Worker in front of the minecart. Talk with him and ask him to transport you to the first area.
Clay Tunnel – Multiple Areas
Although you’re back in the first area, you’re in a different part, allowing you to access new portions of the area. Head south, past the boulder to your east and down the steps to the one there. Use Strength and push this boulder south into the hole. You can now head west over the boulder, up the steps and head south, following the minecart lines to reach the entrance to the tunnel, if you were after healing. If you are, heal then come back to the boulder.
Once you’re ready, head east from the boulder then south to the Rare Bone at the end. Collect it up and head back to the boulder. Now head north from it, back to the one that you skipped before. This time, push it east into its hole. Move over it and grab the Green Shard. Talk to the worker and get him to transport you to the next area. When you reach the next area, move over to the next Worker and get him to transport you too.
You should now be in an area with a body of water to your north. Move over to it and Surf north over it. When you reach the other side, turn your Dowsing MCHN on and use it to find the Iron hidden in a rock. Enter the nearby door. Use Strength to push the boulder into the hole here, then move over it to the next work. Once more, ride the minecart to the next area.
Okay, first head west and push the boulder into the hole. You can now easily access the Underground Ruins, the place that we’re about to enter. head north-east toward the door. Check the rock just before the door to find a Big Nugget, then enter it.

Move out into the large open area. On the north side is a man. Feel free to talk to him, but he doesn’t want to battle. See the circles to the north, one inside the other? Move onto the centre of the small circle. Okay, here’s a bit of a puzzle. From the circle, you need to move exactly nine tiles east, then six tiles south. Keep facing south and press the ‘A’ button. You’ll be asked a question. Answer with ‘Yes’ and the ground will shake. Once you can continue on, move up to the door just north of the now red circle. Attempting to move through it will cause it to open. You’ll head through into the next area.
Head north up to the statue. To either side you’ll see a gap between a rock and the wall. Move through one of these gaps and head around along the path until you reach a thin path leading north. When you do, follow it down to Regirock waiting for you at the end. Interact with it and the battle will begin! As per usual, save the game before battling the Pokemon, just in case you fail in catching it, assuming you wish to catch it.

Once you’re done, depending on your game, a key will be unlocked. This of course is if you catch the Regi (you need to if you want to encounter the other ones). The Iron Key will be unlocked if you’re playing Black 2 and the Iceberg Key will if you’re playing White 2. The Iron Key is used to encounter Registeel, while the Iceberg Key is used to encounter Regice.
Let’s stay and get us the second Regi, eh? What you need to do is exit out of this area, back to the large cavernous room. There, save and exit the game. Now you need to re-enter the game. What we now need to do is set the key that you just found so that it’s active. Here’s how we do it:
- Select ‘Unova Link’ on the main menu (4th option)
- Select ‘Key System’ in the next menu (1st option)
- Select ‘Key Settings’ in the next menu
- Select ‘Mysterious Door’ in the next menu
- Select the newly unlocked key so that it becomes active
- Exit back to the main menu and enter the game!
Once you’ve done that. Head back to the circle that you started on before. Once again, head nine tiles east and six south. Turn the switch on and head through the door. Head to where you encountered Regirock. This time you’ll encounter a new Regi! Save your game, then interact with it and the battle will start!

Once you’ve done that you only have the other Regi to catch! Unfortunately it’s not so easy to get your hands on this one. What you need to do is transfer the key from someone else’s Pokemon game of the opposite version to your own. This can be done using the Unova Link Key System Once you do, activate that key and repeat what you just did for the last Regi. Use the Regi information above to help you out if you need to. Once you’re done with the final Regi, that’s all your really need to do!
It is recommended that you get your hands on all three Regis in some way or another (trade or getting the other key). Once you have them all, place them all in your party and you’ll be able to awaken the great Regigigas when you encounter him in Twist Mountain. That’s the place we should be heading to now!
To get to Twist Mountain, head out the south exit from the large cavernous room. Head south-west to the minecart line, then follow it west over the boulder. When it turns north, follow it in that direction. When you see the Pokemon Ranger to your north, head past her and continue on until you reach the doorway at the end. Head on through and you’ll be in Twist Mountain!

Regigigas time! Assuming that you have the three Regis in your party that is. Anyway, head north along the eastern edge of this area, until you’re in the north-east corner. Head down the stairs and grab TM71 – Stone Edge waiting for you. Now head back up the stairs and west. When you see the doorway, head through.

Here’s a bit of a puzzle. Head west, around to the boulder there. Use Strength to push it three tiles north, then head around to the one-way ledge and jump over it. Now push the boulder east until it’s in the hole. Push the nearby boulder south until it’s in its hole too. Now head south-east over it and follow the path around to the third boulder. Push this boulder three tiles north, one tile west, one tile north and then push it west until it’s in the hole. You’ll need to follow this exactly, otherwise you’ll mess it up. Move over it and head north. Guess what?! It’s Regigigas! He’s taking a nap at the moment though. How cute! If you have all three Regis in your party, interacting with it will make it wake up and you’ll battle it! Obviously, make sure to save before you battle it. That way, if you accidentally lose or defeat it without catching it, you can start over. You only get one chance otherwise.

Head west and jump over the ledge, then keep moving south until you reach the exit at the end. Head out into the next area. Head up the steps Make sure to speak with the worker facing the wall here as he’ll hand you a fossil! He gives one random fossil per day, so I definitely recommend coming back and seeing him until he’s given out all of the fossils he has. The following table lists what Pokemon each fossil can be used to regenerate.
Fossil | Used to Regenerate |
---|---|
Armor Fossil | Shieldon |
Claw Fossil | Anorith |
Dome Fossil | Kabuto |
Helix Fossil | Omanyte |
Old Amber | Aerodactyl |
Root Fossil | Lileep |
Skull Fossil | Cranidos |
You can take these to the Nacrene Museum in Nacrene City and speak to the lady at the right counter at the entrance, who will use the fossil to regenerate the corresponding Pokemon. Once you’re done, head south and through the exit.

Abyssal Ruins
The Abyssal Ruins are a cool little post-game feature. Brimming with ancient treasure, the ruins are found underwater, on the bottom of Undella Bay. To reach them you need HM06 – Dive, which can be received from Hugh by speaking with him in Undella Town after defeating the Elite Four. When you’re ready to, Fly to Undella Town and head down the steps west of the Pokemon Center.
You’ll find Hugh standing here. If you speak with him, he’ll give you HM06 – Dive. How awesome! After he does, he’ll ask if you want to battle. Feel free to respond with ‘Yes’ and initiate a battle, or respond with ‘No’ and come back later. If you do battle him, his party is as follows:

Once you’re all done, head east into Undella Bay, use Surf to move onto the water and head east. Close to the coast you’ll find the first dive spot, denoted by a dark patch of water. Due east you’ll find another spot to the north-east and south-east you’ll find the other two spots. After teaching Dive to a Pokemon, you can move onto the dive spots and use the move to head underwater. Once you’re below, press and hold ‘Up’ on the D-Pad or Circle Pad until you reach the entrance and head on through.
Depending on where you entered, you’ll start in a different part of the first floor of the ruins. If you entered via the western dive spot, you’ll start at the western entrance. If you entered via the eastern dive spot, you’ll start at the eastern entrance and so on. There are no Pokemon found in the Abyssal Ruins, only a variety of valuable ancient items which can be collected. The biggest thing to note is that after moving over around 500 tiles, you’ll be swept back outside the ruins and will have to re-enter at the first floor, no matter how far into the ruins you were. For this reason, you’ll need to enter a number of times if you want to collect every single item in the ruins (around five times would be the absolute minimum). Below you’ll find a few tips on how to tackle the ruins.
- Plan ahead. Minimising the number of tiles you cover by minimising or eliminating heading down wrong paths or taking longer routes than you need to will mean that you’ll be able to explore more in a single run, so you’ll be done in a shorter time.
- Explore Abyssal Ruins 1F in sections. Looking at the map, you should be able to tell that 1F is split into four parts, with all parts leading to the centre of the floor. It’s best to fully complete one part before moving to the next. This will help minimise the number of tiles you move over.
- It doesn’t matter which entrance to 1F you come from, all are the same distance away from the entrance to 2F.
- When aiming for Abyssal Ruins 4F, it’s best to forget about all other items and focus on making the route you take as short as possible. It’s not exceptionally hard to reach 4F by any means, but you don’t want to be swept out of the ruins a few steps before you grab the Relic Crown there, now do you?
You can do about two quarters (or a little less) of Abyssal Ruins 1F per run, so it’ll take you two or three (probably three) trips before you’ve cleared just the first floor. You can do almost all of Abyssal Ruins 2F in a single run, as with Abyssal Ruins 3F. When on a new run, after clearing out 1F, you should head directly to the entrance to 2F so that you’re not wasting time and can explore more. Some with 3F after clearing out 2F.
Note that you’ll need to have a Pokemon that can use Flash and one that can use Strength. If you don’t, you won’t be able to access 3F or 4F, so keep that in mind. This is because you must use Flash when adjacent to the purple moveable block in 2F, blocking the entrance to 3F, and use Strength when adjacent to the block in 3F. This will cause them to move out of the way and allow you through.
All Relic items can be sold to a Black Belt in the house just to the west of the entrance to Marine Tube in Undella Town. Talking with him will open up your bag, where you can select Relic items to offer to him. He will offer up to $300,000 for a Relic item (the Relic Crown in that case)! It’s most definitely worth selling to him, especially seeing as there’s no real use for them otherwise.
Other than that, there’s not much else to be said. Have fun exploring and make sure you don’t miss any items. You’ll find ASCII maps of each floor, created by yours truly (aren’t I talented?!), which will aid in planning your route. Legends will be found below each map, listing what numbers and letters correspond to which items, as well as the meaning of any miscellaneous letters or symbols used.
